Weather: rain Saturday night, but dry since then - supposed to stay dry through this week for a change
Pictures: posted 5 new pictures today, starting with this one - have no idea what this blue bug is, but it flew onto this grass leaf while I was trying to get a picture of the Strobilanthes.
In Bloom: Didn't get any actual gardening work done today, but did note a few new things in bloom - the late summer/early fall flowers are now starting
- Big white-flowered hosta
- Pink sedums in front - 'Vera Jameson and ?'
- Autumn Joy sedums in back are not blooming yet, but starting to show a tiny bit of color
- Panicum virgatum 'Cloud Nine' is out, but 'Dallas Blues' isn't
- Miscanthus purpurascens
- Eragrostis is very fluffy in front - need to get a picture of that
- Caryopteris are just starting - these need a sunnier spot
- Perovskia - ditto
- Ceratostigma plumbaginoides has been blooming for quite a while and still going
- One of the Japanese Morning Glories that is in a fairly shady spot is blooming - didn't think it would
- and others I can't think of right now
