Weather: cool and cloudy most of the day - a few light rain showers this morning. We are expecting rain tomorrow.

Chores: Cleaned up the leaves for the second time this season. First time was last week. Brought some pots and the garden hose into the garage for the winter.

Birds: Just now had a large variety of birds in the backyard. At the feeder: the usual suspects - chickadee, tufted titmouse, goldfinch, cardinals (male & female), downy (or hairy) woodpecker (male, but this one seemed bigger, so maybe hairy?); also a couple of white-breasted nuthatches (have not seen any of these in a while). On the ground: juncos and mourning doves. In the trees: golden-crowned kinglet (male) and a thrush (hermit? different from the one I saw yesterday I think).
