Weather: we got our first glimpse of the sun this morning in 2 days. Sunday night/Monday morning's 4 or so inches of snow was topped by about 36 hours of freezing drizzle/rain/snow giving all the trees a frosted look. Very pretty in the sun.

Birds: birds have been active lately, but goldfinches are taking over. I counted 27 at one time on Sunday morning. They cleaned out the Nuttery peanut feeder (filled with sunflower chips) by Monday afternoon after it had been filled Sunday night. They now seem to prefer the peanut feeder (wire mesh) to the seed feeder (plastic tube). Both have the same food in them.
