Poor Poor Pitiful Me
I woke up this morning feeling monumentally cranky about our renovation project. Why, oh why, is this taking so long? So I made a cup of tea and brought in the newspapers in and sat down to read. Saved the Washington Post Home section for last, but I should have started there. I felt much better about our experience after reading about this one. That poor woman! We could have it so much worse.
PS. Saw a squirrel steal another tomato yesterday evening. They're very bold about it. Oh, and I picked off another hornworm too.

By linking to that article, how much better I feel for letting my husband and his father do the renovations on my kitchen: 100%
Number of months my husband and his father have been doing renovations to my kitchen: 22 (and counting)
Number of months they said it would take: 6
How many months they claim the (much needed) bathroom renovations will take: 3
*sigh* At least I am not paying a contractor. On the other hand, who do you sue?
But you can feel better in that I feel better about my situation now. :) I hope things go better for you. I reallt, really do.
Hanna, 22 months?!? Oh my, I am feeling better for me, but sorry for you. Our kitchen was only unusable for, oh, about 2 1/2 months. And we're really very happy with the results.
We only redid a minimal amount in the bathroom, but even that ended up being more than we planned, because the carpenter found some hidden water damage. I don't have the courage to contemplate a full remodel in there.
But we're getting close to the finish line here. I'm thinking another 5 or 6 weeks max.
Thanks for the kind words - hope your projects all turn out great!
Oops, I need to print a retraction. Our kitchen was unusable for 1 1/2 months. It just seemed like longer.
