Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day
I like annuals. They make my Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day post much longer. Let's get right to it then. Photos are interspersed with the list, I tried to place the photos so the names of the plants are under them.

what a great variety! I think my fave would be the hyssop.
So many gorgeous blooms! Difficult to chose. but I love zinnia color.
Beautiful blooms. You have reminded me that I bought a packet of 'Historic Florist Pansies Mix' that I want to sow for fall. I think I'll sow them inside this week.
Thanks for joining in for bloom day!

Beautiful Calla photo!
Those lilies are amazing, and the spotted pansies have made me sorry I didn't plant more annuals this summer!
Muum: The hyssop smells great too - I think it's like fennel with something minty going on in the background.
Tatyana: I like the Zinnia color too, but everybody calls it green and I think it's really a very pale yellow. Maybe mine get too much sun?
Carol: And you've reminded me that I always plan to start pansies for fall and then get busy with other things (tomatoes, peppers) and forget all about it. Maybe this year!
Dan: I love the elegance of Callas.
Melanie: Oops, I should have labeled which plant was which. The spotted flowers are Mimulus and the dark purple/black one is Bowles' Black Viola. I like to have lots of annuals ;-)
You have so many beautiful annuals. I haven't used annuals much as we concentrate on perennials, but they add such lovely color to the garden. I love the dark purple angelonia. I used to have anise hyssop, but it has disappeared. I am adding that to my want list. It was always one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing the beautiful pics of your garden. ~~Rhonda
Now those are some well-grown Angelonia, and lilies, and tigridia and mimulus, Entangled! I've tried all of them and they sure didn't look like that here. What a lovely bloom day for July!
If you have a minute, could you please check out some wild orchids Tabor's blog? Thank you ;-]
Annie at the Transplantable Rose
What lovely blooms and even a bonus butterfly!
Rhonda: I wonder if anise hyssop is sensitive to too much water, like some of the other Agastaches? I might find out. It's raining again.
Annie: I like Angelonia more and more all the time. It seems really happy with our summers, although this year is not a good year to judge it by - too cold and too wet.
Heirloom Gardener: I consider the butterflies to be honorary flowers. ;-)
Thanks so much for your input on the orchids. I will look up that first one. I wish the photos had been better, but I never know how good they are until back at the PC. Just my great eyesight!
My vegetable garden has been taking up a lot of my time this year as well. Your ornamentals do not seem to be suffering for the extra veggie time, though :)
Tabor: Hope I nailed it ;-)
Sylvana: Yeah, veggies are rewarding, but so time consuming. I still have to have my flowers though.
