Salvia. I'm not sure whether this is a descendant of one of my self-seeding pink Salvias, or something different. I had red ones many years ago, but don't remember planting it anywhere near here. This came up and bloomed in an area of my hellstrip that has had almost no supplemental water this year. The pink dianthus (Firewitch) behind it (I know, I know - horrible color combination) was planted this spring and has impressed me by thriving on complete neglect. The gray leaved plant in the background is Artemisa ludoviciana 'Valerie Finnis'.
