Beaded Pulse Warmers

These are so cool, and so much fun to make. (Pictures tomorrow?) And they really do make you feel warmer. (How can they be warm if they are cool?) They are from a pattern in my Knitting Pattern a Day calendar, but they seem to be popular. See here and here and here. I had never even heard of pulse warmers until I saw the pattern in the calendar.

Asked DH if I wear the pulse warmers out to dinner this evening, would he still sit at the same table with me. He said he would, although if they were black with silver beads, I would fit right in with the gamers that frequent the same pizza place.

Not blogging, but still making things

I see there have been no entries here for a long time. I've been busy the whole time - making things. A lot of the things were Christmas gifts and weren't photographed. But now Christmas is over, and I'm making and photographing more things.
Here is my latest finished object, the Booga Bag. These were really popular in the knitting blogsphere about a year ago, but I didn't have enough knitting skills to make one then. This one is knit in Noro Kureyon #149. Earlier, I made a pair of legwarmers using the same yarn (what, no picture?). I'm amazed at how much this yarn softened in the felting process - it was very coarse and wooly yarn to knit with, but the felted fabric is not at all scratchy. I didn't try to match the stripes when adding a new ball of yarn, and the bottom and the handles are made from leftover bits of yarn from the legwarmers.
